There is currently one active herding club at Kergloff Farm.

  • The HGH CLUB NORTHEASToffers a traditional German HGH herding trial each year in mid October with 200+ sheep.

This page features working photos and videos of dogs working sheep on my farm.

The club website is www.hghclubnortheast.com (thank you Meghan!)

The HGH Club Northeast held our first ever HGH Herding Competition on October 9, 2010 at Kergloff Farm in Columbia, NJ. SV Herding Judge, Herr Wilfried Scheld, evaluated this event according to the SV herding regulations. The helper for the day to perform the defense of handler test was Bill Viebahn. 200 sheep were run. The welcome was given by the Mayor Frank Van Horn with a surprise guest appearance by one of the local black bears.

One Beauceron and six GSDs were shown. They all qualified and achieved their HGH titles.

In run order:
Geary had the first run with 4 year old Beauceron Breizh for Title Only and finished with 92 points and a V (Excellent) rating.  Defense of handler was pronounced.
